On the evening of New Years Day we took the older Ruel kids into town to see the fireworks as a special treat.
That was great and they really enjoyed it (see video below) but as often happens with kids, the highlight of the evening had nothing to do with the original event.
The boys went in the little red truck with Kuya Warren while the girls went with Mama Pauline in the big van, and when we headed back to Ruel we found ourselves in a "race." The boys left first and were making funny faces at the girls when we were winning, but the girls caught up, overtook and eventually arrived back at Ruel first. According to Mama Pauline there was much screaming and cheering in that van as they celebrated their victory. Well done girls!
